Yipit

Yipit is a comprehensive resource for consumers to find sales happening in New York City. Because they were a newly formed start-up, and their name was nondescript, it was vital that their brand resonate quickly and easily with their audience. Since their focus is on scouting out sales, It seemed only natural to bring some sort of sales tag into the logo. They wanted their name to be read as two distinct syllables, so using a subtle variation on the blues helped accomplish their request.
